The FInal Lesson [Hell]

Kyo stood rolling about across the grounds of the rocky training fields. He sat on a wheelchair, for he was crippled now. Using chakra and his own hands, he turned the wheels of his chair towards a certain direction so he can move. The wind blew past his face, and Kyo reminisced about all the things he's done.

"Ahh... and so we come to our ends of days..."

Reaper walks up to Kyo, looking at his ruined form.*By the Creator...what happened to him?* This wasn't the powerful, aggressive ninja he knew...It must have been a titanic battle.Reaper sighs, walking closer and looking at the person who had taught him." Sir...I'm here."

Kyo wheeled himself up towards Reaper. He couldn't see his face, which robbed Kyo of the chance to make fun of his expression when he saw him like this. "Heh.... so you still sound like that", Kyo joked. "Must be wondering why I'm crippled, eh? I was out hunting some target from Suna and I killed him. But the bug made sure to sting me to get the last laugh - fired bullets right into my legs and chest. Well, I'm on wheels now", Kyo said as he patted the side of his chair.

"You beat everybody and 'came Chunin yet?"

Reaper nods slowly." I see...Both of you fought well, sounds like...Still, I'm sorry you wound up like this." Asked if he's made chuunin yet, he nods." Yes....I aqquited myself well. I did honor..to the village." He examines Kyo.*.....You don't have long ..do you?" He reaches inside his hood, and there's a snap as he unbuckles his mask,though it sits on his face still.

Kyo glared at Reaper with a sinister smile on his face. He looked eager, as his characteristic bloodlust had not faded from him. Simply from his determination, the air would turn a little thicker than it is right now. "Oi oi, kiddo.... don't go feeling down with the blues on me now.. You're going to get a whipping if you think I can't gut a man or two..." Kyo said with resolve. He was reassuring Reaper, but perhaps he was also reassuring himself. He could see Reaper seemingly getting ready to take off his mask. Was it a sign of his pity for Kyo? Or a parting gift? Either way, Kyo did not deem it to be necessary, for he never truly cared about a person's appearance or voice. "I'm still kicking, aren't I?" he asked as he tried to kick his legs. His feet budged an inch or two, but they remained relatively still.

Reaper stops for a minute, feeling the air thicken, and chuckles." Well, I certainly don't want a whipping.It would be embrrassing to the village and myself,after all."He relaxes somewhat.Nodding as Kyo moves his legs slightly." Yes....I suppose so, sir." He reaches up, taking off his mask. Though one half was frozen stiff from the thick mat of scars coating it, his regular half smiles at Kyo." So..what will you do now?"

Reaper came unmasked, revealing his face to Kyo for the first time in the world. It was disfigured. One half of his face was burned, almost as if someone intended to mutilate him. But Kyo didn't care, for he knew that Reaper had overcome his own aversion to his facial appearance. As he had overcome his cursed demon eyes. Kyo flashed a gentle grin to return Reaper's smile and said, "Well, well look at what we have here. What? You don't look so bad, after all"

"Mhm.....my sensei...also my foster father was a sword smith. That's not a bad thing to do while I'm like this. Making swords. At least Tenro would have friends", Kyo said as he petted his trusty blade.

Reaper relaxes fully at Kyos gentle reaction. He hadn't actually fully gotten over the way he had been marked,but the reactions of those few who had managed to see it had helped. It was amazing, what a little kindness can do.True, he was far from healing,but he was.slowly, on his way.The chuunin snorts,remarking dryly." I sincerely know that there are plently who would disagree with you,sir,me as one of them.." Then Kyo says hell be a sword smith." I see...sounds like a good life."

Kyo sighs. Looks like this kid still has got a way to go....ah....I know he'll be alright. Who knows. Maybe even one of these days, I'll hear people talking about him in the streets..as one of the village's finest shinobi... Kyo thought.

"I only have one last thing to impart to you. It's always gotten me through the worst days. Always keep your head. I have a feeling you're gonna make a very difficult choice in the future. Whatever it is, do what you think is right and own it. Live with it for the rest of your life. The only person that you can keep on trusting is yourself. You listen to me and you're not only going to be a great shinobi, but a great man".

Kyo looked at Reaper for a few more seconds before turning his wheelchair around. "Bah! Who knows what you're gonna do with yourself!" He wheeled himself away from Reaper before stopping. He lifted his hand in the air and waved it. "This is farewell", he said in a tone as closest to sad as he ever said it in. Then he wheeled himself away and continued on....

Reaper listens closely to Kyo's advice.It seemed this was the last they would see of each other, at least for awhile.Reaper nods."Alright.....I'll take your advice to heart, sir. I wont fail.......It was an honor to fight beside you, and maybe one day we'all meet again." He watches as Kyo rolls himself away, and looks up to the sky, before putting back on his mask, turning around and leaving. He had work to do, and may the Creator help any devil fool enough to get in his way.....
