| The grounds were vacant, at the moment. A good sign for Dalia. Her usual training was sometimes... dangerous to those nearby. She'd set up targets, well covered by the mist that seemed to settle all over the grounds, then kept her eyes closed and hands in her pockets.
"One, two, three, one, two, three..." She recited aloud, soothing her mind and focusing her senses. After a few moments there was several explosions and it looked like she hadn't even moved a muscle, but her eyes shot open to catch sight of her art.
"The true beauty of an explosion that can only be seen once..." She sighed aloud, smiling to herself.

From a perch in the leaf-laden branches of a nearby tree, a pair of icy blue eyes leered intently out onto the mist-choked training field. They locked in on the commotion of a training female, who was quickly identified as Shioya, Dalia -- after all, it would be exceedingly difficult to confuse her... talents.. with anyone else's, what with all the explosions.
After taking a moment to let the 'dust' settle, so to speak, a dark haired woman dropped from the tree, landing in a crouched position from which she slowly rose, her arms folding neatly across her chest.
"Your technique is impressive." Momoko's expression was flat, as was common for her. Perhaps she didn't agree that her explosions were especially artistic, but they were certainly impressive in size and power. Momo preferred to view her own techniques as artistic -- however partial as she happened to be -- what with the precision and grace required to carry them out.
'Let bygones be bygones, I suppose.' She mused in the privacy of her own twisted thoughts.

| Dalia was not surprised when she heard someone land behind her. Her art usually attracted attention from everyone nearby, as if was hard not to notice. When she spun around and saw the Mizukage's personal guard, though, she was a little surprised. She offered a bow of respect.
"The explosion that can only ever be seen once is the truest of beauty." She replied easily. "I didn't expect to run into the Mizukage's right hand this late around here. Is everything okay? Or is there a mission?"
Dalia made it a point not to stay on topic of her art for too long. She was under the impression that most people wouldn't consider an explosion art, and wasn't really up for debating that with someone who ranked above her.

She made no comment on her art -- regardless of their differing opinions, Momoko wasn't one to engage in frivolous arguments -- and instead nodded her head in reply to Dalia's bow.
"As far as I am aware, everything is as it should be. I'd like the say that the magnificence of the explosions drew me in, however, I was already here before you arrived.. admittedly, I was dozing." However, 'dozing' for Momoko meant sitting on a tree branch, keeping keen watch on the training field. "I've heard word from contacts in other villages that there is an upcoming chunin exam.. a joint-village exam, actually."
She tipped her head to the right ever to slightly, her pitch black hair swaying with her subtle movement. "It was my hope that there would be Genin here, working hard, as I'm sure the rumor of the coming exams have spread. Perhaps they're becoming complacent? Either way, finding you here is just as interesting to watch." Momoko mused, idly running her tongue along the inside of her lower lip, feeling the cold metal backings of her snakebite piercings.

| The mention of the Chunin exam caught Dalia's attention, and she glanced at Momoko. Were the exams already so close? Time really flew. How interesting.
"I would hope that our Genin aren't slacking." Dalia added in quiet thought. "Maybe a talk with the Jounin instructors is necessary. Though I wouldn't want to step on their toes. I'd assume they could handle their own training."
Dalia ignored a few more explosions in the distance. She'd almost forgotten that she'd set those. She made sure to catch their beauty as they lit up the sky though.
"Should I prepare to travel with the Mizukage to the exams? After the attack from the sand all those years ago, you can't really be too safe."
