¤¤¤ PROWESS ¤¤¤
Elemental Natures: Fire, Wind
Skills: Master Swordsman - Kyo's primary fighting style of which he is impeccable at. His Kenjutsu style is Mumyo Jinpuu Ryuu (Murdering Sword of the Divine Dark Wind), a powerful S-class style which he has fully mastered. There are two sub-styles to it: Satsujin Ken and Ouji. This sword style is perfect for Kyo's Tenro, which is a murderous sword. This sword style employs a series of very powerful elemental-based techniques based off of the Four Symbols. His use of the sword is very deadly, specializing in accurate slashes that seek to take out opponents in one blow. He is counted among the most talented Kenjutsu masters in all of the village's history.
He can also utilize normal Ninjutsu, including elemental ones. He usually uses elements to enhance his strikes.
Swiftness - Kyo is well known on his village for his raw speed and sheer reflexes. This makes his deadliness while wielding the sword even deadlier, as his movements are said to be a "blur" in close-combat even among Jounin-class shinobi.
Weaknesses: Deprived of a sword, Kyo cannot use any Kenjutsu techniques, which are the foundation of his fighting style. He is also overconfident and has his own internal psychological struggle of overcoming issues associated with his red demon eyes that stem from others' fear of them. He has no skill in genjutsu or healing.
Equipment: Name: Tenro ~ Heavenly Wolf
Description: One of the 4 legendary swords forged by the great swordsmaster Muramasa, Tenro is a demonic-like blade said to have a massive bloodlust and needs its wielder to satistfy its infinite hunger for blood, bringing gruesome deaths to wherever the wielder goes, possibly to the wielder themself. Tenro weighs 400 pounds and is a nigh-indestructible blade, for it cannot break, dull, crack, or bent unless it is hit by an attack of S-class. Its resilience is high enough that it can withstand very cold tempatures (down to -55 C) and is immune to 1000 C (the average temperature of magma). When such a strong, durable, and sharp sword is in the hands of a skilled swordsman, preferably one trained by the sword's maker, its weight becomes light as if it were a standard katana and it's capable of great destruction and bloodshed. Tenro has a few special properties like being able to send waves of air pressure for long-ranged combat when wind chakra is pushed into the blade to cut apart enemies. There's also a sword-and-master connection Tenro has, meaning the wielder can "speak" to Tenro and communicate. Currently, Kyo is its master and is the first one to have master the sword, giving him vastly high swordsmanship when Tenro is in his hand. Kyo is actually the first wielder of Tenro, but his master Muramasa is technically the first one since he made it. The blade and Kyo fit quite well together due to their bloodlusts.
¤¤¤ PSYCH EVAL ¤¤¤
Personality: A confident and fearless warrior, Kyo is known for his characteristic bloodlust. He is constantly haunted by an intent to kill, even if he does not desire it. He has to suppress this sense until the time of combat comes. His true nature is reflected in his crimson demon-like eyes which earned him a reputation on the battlefield and a very stressful childhood. Unless fighting an opponent he deems powerful, he likes to restrain his power and toy around with his enemies. He is not afraid of fighting people who are stronger than him.
Kyo tends to be an optimistic but realistic. He smiles frequently, whether in the face of danger or during casual conversations. He likes to wander a lot and is not very considerate of others. He is proud of his eyes that have inflicted much fear in children of his age, believing that they are bestowed upon those who were born to kill. He is a sociable, but old-fashioned kind of a guy. He does not care for the new generation of ninja and their more modern antics and culture.
Strengths: He is highly competent in battle, using whatever is within his vicinity to obtain victory against any kind of an opponent. He is not restricted by ties to anyone, allowing him to unleash himself to the fullest. He enjoys psychologically handling his enemies.
Interests/Habits: Fighting/Sparring, flirting with the ladies, carving/etching wood with his sword
¤¤¤ ORIGIN ¤¤¤
Family Members: All deceased
Place of Origin: Land of Fire
History: Kyo was born into the Mibu clan, a family of reputed sorcerers in the Land of Fire. He was born with distinct red eyes akin to an oni's, something unprecedented within the clan. The Mibu figured that the child was the offspring of the devil, and cast him out by the time he was one year old. He was raised by a neighbor named Muramasa, who was the greatest swordsman at the time and the most celebrated swordsmith. The blades that he crafted were so highly sought for that individual Kages went in search of him. Muramasa initially had no reason to put Ky on the shinobi path until one day Kyo released an abnormally large amount of chakra from his body. Knowing that the child naturally inherited the Mibu's great affinity for chakra, he must be raised as a ninja to be of some use to the world. Muramasa disguised himself and moved to Konohgakure, where Kyo entered the Ninja Academy.
His distinct red eyes which made even his own family banish him caught fear from his classmates. They were afraid of the un-natural, so they avoided Kyo wherever they could and rarely talked about him. In some cases, there were kids who even bullied him openly. It wasn't long that Kyo learned to retaliate and forcefully beat his assailants up. After that, Muramasa took a strict rein over him and disciplined him by passing on the arts of Mumyo Jinpuu Ryuu. Muramasa only started off teaching him the Satsujin Ken sect of the art, which comprised only Mizuchi and Suzaku. Kyo faced difficulties learning the style, but a natural talent for the sword showed when he was able to grasp the style within a span of a single year. Muramasa hoped that time learning the style would help Kyo mature, but all he gave birth to was a child armed with one of the deadliest sword styles. Kyo himself grew fond of the sword and looked forward to using it to shed blood. He practiced constantly on his own time to learn how to wield it properly. He became a Chunin at the age of 12.
He became known as "Demon Eyes" within his village, and continued to be avoided, if not villified. This only served to increase Kyo's resentment, and he waited for the day his bloodlust would lash out on those who stand against him. Kyo forced Muramasa to recognize his skills by constantly challenging him to fights; all of which he lost swiftly. Kyo knew that Muramasa was holding back the true power of Mumyo Jinpuu Ryuu and did everything he could to make him teach him. He enlisted for an A-rank mission, which Muramasa thought was suicidal on Kyo's part. He realized that he had no choice but to slowly touch Kyo the Ouji sect, and so the two of them went to a place where Kyo could train the best: The Mibu clan compound.
At the clan's compound, Kyo garnered weird looks from the elders. It wasn't before long that they recognized him as the demon-eyes child that had been casted out. Kyo was barred from entering, but out of respect for Muramasa, they allowed the two to train at the clan's waterfalls space. There, Muramasa spent two whole weeks teaching Kyo how to master his first Ouji technique: Byakko. The water-fall brought out the full potential of all with Mibu blood, and allowed Kyo to learn the technique by the desired deadline. He was about to go on the mission and returned alive, with remarkable success.
Muramasa then taught him the rest of the Ouji techniques over the span of four years. By the time Kyo became a Jounin at the age of 17 because of his impressive mission record and specialty in fighting, he had already mastered the Mumyo Jinpuu Ryuu. In his master's final days, he admired Muramasa's unrivaled craftsmanship in making swords. His swords were always updated, but Kyo never saw any of them but mere tools. It was only one day when he stumbled upon Muramasa's "forbidden" collection that he discovered one of the four great swords that his master had ever made: Tenro. Without his master's permission, he touched the sword and was immediately overwhelmed by the great bloodlust that it possessed. Tenro fed on Kyo's own murderous intent, and galvinized on it. Kyo went on a bloody rampage all around his district in the village, smashing houses and injuring people. However, before Muramasa could come and stop him, Kyo was able to beat back the bloodlust and return to normal. From that day on, he treated Tenro as a special sword with a "spirit" that he can communicate with and it became his own personal weapon.
Muramasa died before the Kyo turned 20, passing on everything he knew to him before then. At around this time, a major war broke out between a few of the villages, and Konohagakure was one of them. Kyo saw war as an excellent opportunity to display his battle skills and make everyone fear the art of Mumyo Jinpuu Ryuu. He was successful. His skill with the sword and mastery of the style which he had built on for more than a decade allowed Kyo to dominate the battlefield. Although it is said that training and practice built Kyo's foundation, it was real battle that taught Kyo how to use the sword effectively in combat. The killing intent that Tenro and him shared was unleashed upon the poor souls that dared to oppose him. He killed hundreds of men, some of whom had an established reputation of their own. The war raged on for years, and at its closing, he became known as "Demon Eyes Kyo" around the world. Kyo would participate in a few more wars and skirmishes that increased his reputation.
When he was 27, Kyo returned to the Mibu clan, knowing that he hailed from there. He forced his way in, and stayed there for approximately a week. After that, the clan leader Kyoichirou Mibu asked him to leave. Haughty and arrogant, Kyo refused. The two of them dueled. Kyoichirou's Ninjutsu prowess was well-known throughout the nation, but Kyo's mastery of the sword allowed him to overcome it. In the end, Kyo defeated Kyoichirou and put him into a coma. He left the Mibu, realizing that there was nothing more that could come from it. However, that was not entirely true. After leaving the Mibu, Kyo developed the ability to utilize "willpower", a special skill that can be used as a mental and physical force. He quickly got the hang of it, and can use it proficiently.
Now at the age of 30, Kyo is a "cloud-man", a warrior who wanders freely wherever he wishes and is unrestricted by ties to anyone. He still practices his swordsmanship, refining his ability to "listen to the sword", so one day his bloodlust may overtake the entire world.
